Twisted strand Lense, Blue Lace Agate (blue), faceted, 35 x 25mm

The flat, faceted lenses made of blue chalcedony are approx. 35 x 25 cm in size and show the typical banding of the mineral.

The entire stringed beads are approx. 40cm long.

Blue Lace Agate is considered a "speaker's stone" in gemstone healing, as it strengthens the art of speaking and self-expression, but also supports the ability to listen.

The terms "calchedon" and "carchedon" were first used by Pliny the Elder in his Latin Naturalis Historia in the 1st century AD. However, it is not possible to clearly identify which stones were described here on the basis of the descriptions. Via "intermediate stages" such as calcedony, calcedony, chalcedony or kalcedony, the name changed to the chalcedony commonly used today.
