The buttons made of black Onyx (dyed) are 5mm in size.
The onyx strand is 40cm long and strung for transportation. We recommend always replacing the transportation thread with suitable knotting material.
The name Onyx is derived from the Greek word "onyx" for "nail"; presumably this name, which has been in use for many centuries, refers to the surface of the polished stone, which is reminiscent of shiny fingernails. Spellings such as onix or onyk are therefore incorrect.
