Diameter of the purple Lepidolite beads (stab.): 10mm.
The strands are 39cm long and strung together for transportation.
The themes of Lepidolite in gemstone healing are demarcation, inner peace and concentration on the essentials.
The Jesuit Nicolaus Poda von Neuhaus (1723 - 1798) discovered the mineral Lepidolite and initially named it Lilalith (purple stone). This name was criticized by experts as not being scientific enough, so in 1795 the mineral was given the name Lepidolite, which is still in use today. This name is derived from the Greek words "lepidion" (scaly) and lithos (stone) and translates as "scaly stone" or "scaly stone". Spellings such as lepidolite, lepitolite, lepitolite or lepidolite are therefore incorrect.
Synonyms are lithion mica, lilathite, hydropolylithionite, lithium mica and rhombic mica.
