Pleasing and innovative designs with button shapes!

Buttons are like "balls with design" due to their special shape. Due to their regularity, they are versatile - whether as a form-giving element or as a discreet intermediate part between eye-catching unique stones or fancy precious metal intermediate parts.

All strands are approx. 40cm long and strung for transport. We recommend to always replace the transport thread with suitable knotting material.

Size: approx. 5 x 8mm

The mineral Prehnite received its name after Colonel Hendrik von Prehn (1733 - 1785); spellings like Phrenite, Prenhite, Prenith or Phrenite are therefore not correct. Von Prehn brought back samples from the Cape of Good Hope in 1783 and had them examined by the mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner. The latter described the material and named it Prehnite after von Prehn. The stone is the first mineral that is named after a person.

Trade names for the Prehnt are cape chrysolite and cape emerald, earlier common names are aedelite, chiltonite, coupholite and edelite.
