String Beads, Rhodonite, 02 mm

The rhodonite beads have a diameter of 2mm; the length of the rhodonite strand is approx. 40cm.

The first scientific description of Rhodonite was made in 1819 by the German naturalist Christoph Friedrich Jasche. The pink color inspired Jasche to name it "Rhodonite", which is derived from the Greek word "rhodon" for rose or rose scent. Occasional spellings such as rhodonite, rodonite or rodonite are therefore incorrect.
