Rhodonite in very good quality, i.e. with almost no inclusions in intense pink, are almost impossible to get for a good price. In a small grinding shop we recently found what we were looking for and were able to get hold of a small lot. Order quickly - stocks are limited!
The balls of the rhodonite strand are 6mm in size; the total length of the ball strand is 40cm.
Rhodonite is used in stone healing to support forgiveness and mutual understanding.
The first scientific description of Rhodonite was made in 1819 by the German naturalist Christoph Friedrich Jasche. The pink color inspired Jasche to name it "Rhodonite," which is derived from the Greek word "rhodon" meaning rose or rose-scented. Occasional spellings like rhodonite, rodonite or rodonite are therefore not correct.
