This turquoise strand consists of flat teardrops that have been drilled through their flat sides.
The size of the turquoise teardrops (stab.) increases progressively from the ends toward the center of the stringed beads; the outer teardrops are approximately 13 mm in size, while the central ones are approximately 23 mm. The beads are approximately 2–3 mm thick, and the entire turquoise strand is 44 cm long.
Rough turquoise stones are porous and often soft and brittle. To ensure safe processing during grinding, polishing, and drilling, the rough stones are impregnated with a colorless stabilizing resin. The color of our Turquoises is natural. This standard industry practice is indicated in our wholesale web shop with “(stab.)”.
