This string of Larimar with polished buttons/discs is an attractive raw material for high-quality jewelry creations. The flat elements, measuring approximately 2.5–3.5 x 8 mm, beautifully highlight Larimar’s characteristic color and pattern.

Stone: Larimar (pectolite) Shape: Button / disc Size: approx. 2.5–3.5 x 8 mm String length: approx. 39 cm
Color: Characteristic shades of white, light blue, and turquoise Origin of Larimar: Dominican Republic Uses: Jewelry making, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and custom jewelry designs

With a strand length of approx. 39 cm, this product is ideal for professional jewelry design—from necklaces and bracelets to earrings and custom combinations with silver pieces, pearls, or other gemstones.

Larimar is a light blue variety of the mineral pectolite and is found almost exclusively in the Dominican Republic. Its color palette ranges from white and delicate light blue to more intense shades of blue and turquoise. Characteristic features include the natural light-colored markings and cloud-like structures, which give each focal component its own unique character.

For Professional Jewelry Design The disc shape offers jewelry designers, goldsmiths, and jewelers numerous creative possibilities. Thanks to their flat shape, Larimar buttons can be used as a continuous string of gemstones, individually, or in small groups as accents.

The combination with silver is particularly striking: the light-colored precious metal highlights the characteristic blue and white tones of Larimar. Marco Schreier’s information page also describes Larimar as a popular stone for Silver jewelry.

Larimar – the “Gemstone of the Caribbean” The origin of the name perfectly matches the stone’s crystal habit: “Larimar” combines the first name Lari with the Spanish word “mar” for sea. Among jewelers, goldsmiths, and jewelry designers, Larimar is therefore also known as the “Gemstone of the Caribbean.”

The coveted blue variety of pectolite comes exclusively from the Dominican Republic. The Larimar mines there are located near Baoruco in the province of Barahona in the southwestern part of the country.

Naturally Varied in Color and Pattern Larimar is a natural product—consequently, individual stones differ in color, pattern, blue content, and natural bedrock. It is precisely these differences that give a custom-designed piece of jewelry its unique character.

Larimar is typically characterized by shades ranging from white to light blue. Depending on the quality, more intense sky-blue and turquoise areas as well as characteristic white patterns may be present. Natural inclusions and varied structures are also part of the mineral’s crystal habit.

The Significance of Larimar in Crystal Healing In modern crystal healing, Larimar is associated with inner peace, stability, openness, and spiritual growth. It helps develop new perspectives and fosters creative, goal-oriented action. In addition, this blue stone is traditionally associated with calm and Serenity. These time-honored associations also make Larimar an attractive choice for jewelry designs where, in addition to color and material, the traditional meaning of a gemstone is intended to be part of the design.

Note: Gemstones are natural products. Color, pattern, shape, and size may therefore vary within a single strand. These natural variations are characteristic of the material and make each piece of jewelry unique.

Marco Schreier Buch Lapis Vitalis

Hello! My name is Marco Schreier and I am the founder of the Mineralienhandlung GmbH of the same name. Creativity and stones have been a topic for me since I was a child, and they first shaped my free time and then my entire professional life.

As a child, this began playfully with collecting and crafting with stones I had found myself and with the first minerals that my grandfather brought me from the Alps. Later, a fascination for processing, sawing, grinding, designing and artistic work with gemstones emerged. With our Chili Creative ® brand, we managed to build up a range developed by experts from our wholesale business and our production sites in Asia.

Today, numerous professional jewelry designers, goldsmiths, jewelry makers, jewelers and creative people from the online world such as Etsy and Pinterest providers use the components of Chili Creative® in their projects. With our tools, stone components, bead strands, pearls and silver parts as well as high-quality stringing materials, you can create creative jewelry projects that are highly profitable for resale.
