The AA sunstone buttons are approx. 4mm thick and have a diameter of 6mm. The faceting makes the sunstone buttons glitter and sparkle, and not just in sunlight. Length of the button strand approx. 40cm.
In gemstone healing, sunstone is used when a stone with an uplifting effect is required. Sunstone strengthens an optimistic attitude to life and draws attention to the sunny side of life. Your own strengths and abilities are (re)perceived more strongly.
The mineralogical name for Sunstone is Aventurine Feldspar; the reddish color and sparkle are caused by tiny inclusions of Hematite and other iron oxides. An obsolete name for sunstone today is heliolite.
