Blue Tourmaline (indigolite) is one of the rarest varieties of tourmaline, especially in such an intense color and transparency as in this chain strand.
The beads have a diameter of 2mm, the entire tourmaline strand has a length of approx. 38cm.
The name indigolite means "blue stone" and refers to the color of the tourmaline. Misleading names that are now rarely found in the trade are Oriental Sapphire and Uralic Sapphire or Ural Sapphire.
