Strand Button, Tourmaline (Rubellite, mixed), 1.4-3.0 x 3.2-5.0mm (gradient)

The buttons in this tourmaline strand of pink-red rubellite in different shades become larger and larger from the two ends of the strand towards the center (so-called "gradient"). The smallest buttons are about 1.4mm thick and 3.2mm in diameter, the largest in the middle are 3.0 x 5.0mm. In total, the tourmaline strand has a length of about 45cm.

Rubellite is used in stone healing to strengthen vitality and sociability. The emphatic devotion to an activity kit, project or undertaking is supported by the pink tourmaline.

The name rubellite is derived from the Latin word "rubellus" (red); spellings such as rubelite, rubbelite or rubellite are therefore incorrect. Since the Urals were the most important locality for Rubellite until the 1920s, the synonym "Siberian Ruby" is still occasionally found in the literature.
