Ball stone strands - the basis for your designs!
These basic shapes are the basis for countless designs and can be mixed and matched in almost any way. All basic shapes can also be used to create matching bracelets and earrings. Basic shapes are also ideal for combining with more expensive and rarer types of stone (e.g. silver, Gold, Diamond). This allows you to create beautiful, distinctive and varied unique pieces!
All strands are 40 cm long and are strung together for transportation. We recommend always replacing the transport thread with suitable knotting material.
There are two theories for the origin of the name Spinel: Spinel is either derived from the Greek "spin(n)os" (to sparkle) or from the Latin "spinella" (small thorn). Various spellings of the mineral have been used in Europe since the 16th century, e.g. Spynell, Spinella and Spinellus. Today the spelling Spinel is common, occasionally also Spinnell can be found.
