Silicon (Si) is contained in many minerals, e.g. Rock Crystal SiO2. Pure silicon can be extracted from quartz sand or quartz gravel at temperatures of around 2000° and then processed further. As a component of semiconductors, computer chips and solar cells, silicon is of great importance to industry.

In analytical gemstone healing, silicon is important for strengthening stability, awareness and presence of mind. The mineral silicon promotes inner, personal well-being and thus makes you less dependent on external circumstances; determination and openness to inspiration are supported.

The name silicon comes from "silicia" (Latin for silica); in Asia, products made from silicon are also sold under the names Teraherz, Terraherz, Terahertz and Terrahertz.
