Chakras are energy centers that control our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Each chakra (Sanskrit "wheel") is the key to a certain area of life and is associated with a certain way of thinking, talking and acting. Chakras therefore reflect certain facets of our personality. They are related to certain experiences, memories, abilities and life concepts as well as to specific control and regulation mechanisms of our body. Since the chakras react to energetic influences, they can also be strengthened, protected and harmonized with healing stones.

Michael Gienger explains in this lecture the nature of the chakras, their structure and energetic nature as well as their functions and tasks. For this purpose he presents two different classifications of healing stones, one from the western stone healing point of view and a second from the far eastern spiritual point of view.
