The gemstone malas consist of 100 Sodalite beads and eight rudraksha seeds (all 6 mm in size) and are carefully hand-knotted with thread that matches the dark blue color of the Sodalite.
The third eye chakra is also known as the Ajna chakra (from the Sanskrit “Ajna,” meaning power, command, or order) and represents consciousness, insight, intuition, and spiritual development.
Sodalite helps you remain true to yourself and your guiding principles. The pursuit and search for truth is the central theme of this blue stone. Awareness is strengthened, allowing one to see things more clearly. Sodalite thus fosters idealism and makes it easier to stand up for one’s own deep convictions. Rudraksha seeds are traditionally dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva and are worn for protection and as a source of inspiration. Rudraksha seeds, worn as natural-looking jewelry, are widespread in India and Nepal and are valued much like gemstones.
Attached to the back of the chakramalas is a pendant featuring a chakra symbol and a chili pepper (all made of 925 silver). The Sodalite prayer beads are 86 cm long; the tassel is an additional 8 cm long.
