Beautiful gemstone necklace with sparkling beads of Chrome Diopside and silver!
The faceted 4mm beads of dark green Chrome Diopside are threaded onto steel wire; the center of the Chrome Diopside necklace is a colourful, shimmering Ammolite. The Ammolite can have different shapes and colors; however, you will always receive an Ammolite in the same quality as shown.
Length of the designer necklace approx. 44 cm plus 6 cm extension chain made of gold-plated 925 silver; silver weight approx. 2.4 g.
Size of the freeform Ammolite approx. 13 x 8mm, stone weight Ammolite 4.1.5ct. Size of the faceted beads of Chrome Diopside 4mm, stone weight 38ct.
The design findings of the chain and the lobster clasp with extension chain are made of highly polished rhodium-plated silver 925; silver weight approx. 2.4g.
Localities: St. Mary River near Lethbridge in southwestern Alberta (Canada).
Occurrence: Cretaceous period
Ammolite is the trade name for the gem quality of a colorful, iridescent fossil shell of two ammonites: Placenticeras meeki and Placenticeras intercalare. The gemstone consists of the finest aragonite platelets, which produce the bright colors through interference of light.
To protect the sensitive surface of the Ammolite, it has been sealed with acrylic.
