The green opalescent oval made of Canadian Ammolite measures approx. 30 x 15mm and weighs 25ct.
Including the eyelet, the ammolite pendant measures 4.1 x 1.7cm; the eyelet has an inner diameter of 5mm. Silver weight of fossil pendant 2.9g.
Localities: St. Mary Rivers near Lethbridge in southwestern Alberta (Canada).

Ammolite is the trade name for the gemstone quality of a colorful, iridescent fossil shell of two ammonites: Placenticeras meeki and Placenticeras intercalare. The gemstone consists of the finest aragonite platelets, which produce the bright colors through interference of light.
To protect the sensitive surface of the Ammolite, it has been sealed with acrylic.
