Sporty pendant with Amazonite in a gold-plated setting!
The gemstone pendant measures approx. 3.4 x 1.2 cm.
Size of the rectangular cabochon approx. 22 x 11mm, stone weight of dark Amazonite from Russia approx. 7.35ct.
Bezel setting and eyelet (inner diameter 5mm) are made of highly polished, gold-plated silver 925; silver weight 3.23g.
The mineral got its name from the Amazon river or the Amazon people: The explorer Alexander von Humboldt found a mysterious green stone among the indigenous people on the Rio Negro, which was initially called "Amazon stone" or "Amazon stone". Although the stone that von Humboldt brought back from South America was Nephrite, various green stones were soon referred to as Amazon Stone (or Amazonite).
Nowadays, the name "Amazonite" is used to describe a lead-colored green Feldspar. Synonyms for Amazonite are: Amazon ashlar, Amazon stone, Amazon jade, green Feldspar, Crimean Feldspar

Hello! My name is Marco Schreier, I am the stone-loving founder of the Mineralienhandlung GmbH of the same name. My career in the field of gemstones, precious stones, pearls and designer jewelry only began relatively late.
Originally, my attention was focused on collector's minerals, then on polished stone products such as tumbled stones, etc. Later, drilled stones were added, which, worn on a leather strap, were the first jewelry we offered. With the establishment of our office in Bali, Indonesia in 2001 and shortly afterwards our office and company in Hong Kong, I created the basis for integrating many of my favorites such as special crystals, specially cut, rare gemstones, free-form cabochons, beads and pearls into my own jewelry.
