This design pendant made from 925 silver is highly polished and gold-plated, giving it a warm yet luxurious look. Measuring approx. 3.7 x 2.9 cm, the piece of jewelry has an expressive presence. The eyelet has an inner diameter of 4 mm and can be combined in a variety of ways.
The centerpiece is a fancy-shaped Atacama Opal measuring approx. 24 x 14 mm, which is securely set in a bezel setting. The intense green-blue color forms a fascinating contrast to the Gold surface of the silver and makes each piece an individual eye-catcher. The stone weighs approx. 11.5 ct. and the silver weight is 6.71 g.
Atacama Opal is an Opalite-Chrysocolla-Chalcedony mixture whose bright color is caused by Copper. The raw material comes from the Región de Atacama in northern Chile, particularly from the Copiapó and Paipote region. Locally, the material is referred to as Atacama Opal or Atacama Opalite, a name that has also become established in the international mineral trade.
