Phosphosiderite is a rare, little-known mineral found in Chile, Mexico and the USA. The raw material for the pendant comes from the Copiapó province (Atacama region) in Chile.
Phosphosiderite is used in gemstone healing as an invigorating and strengthening stone.
The name phosphosiderite is derived from "phospho" for phosphorus and "sideros (Greek for iron); the name given in 1890 by Franz Siegfried Willy Bruhns and Karl Heinrich Emil Georg Busz is also recognized by the International Mineralogical Association (IMA). The spelling phosphorus siderite is not correct.
