Nephrite Ring, Round, Topaz, Size 60 (19), Gold-Plated

A striking gemstone ring from our jewelry workshop in Indonesia: The round Nephrite cabochon, measuring 20 mm in diameter, showcases the stone’s characteristic intense green color. A small, faceted white topaz adds a sparkling accent and creates a beautiful contrast to the warm luster of the gold-plated silver. The nephrite is set on a silver plate, and the 3-mm topaz is securely set in a bezel. Thanks to its clean, linear design, the ring is an excellent choice as a striking piece of jewelry for the collections of jewelers, goldsmiths, jewelry stores, and gemstone retailers. Cut and set at our facilities in Indonesia.

The rough stone used in this piece of jewelry comes from Aceh in the north of the Indonesian island of Sumatra. In this remote region, natural Nephrite boulders are found in areas such as those surrounding the Dare River. Individual rough blocks can weigh between one and two metric tons.

Since many sites are barely accessible by vehicle, large blocks are sometimes broken up by hand right on site. Smaller pieces are carried through the rugged terrain and then transported further by motorcycle. Its unique origin in the pristine landscape of Aceh and the fact that it is mined by hand make this Nephrite a gemstone with an extraordinary history.
