A classically elegant silver ring featuring a round Ammolite cabochon!
The cabochon measures 14 mm, weighs approximately 6.855 ct, and is set in a bezel setting.
The bezel setting and the ring band are made of highly polished, rhodiniertes 925 silver; silver weight approx. 3.8 g.

Ammolite is the trade name for the gem-quality variety of a colorful, iridescent fossilized shell from two species of ammonites: Placenticeras meeki and Placenticeras intercalare. The gemstone consists of extremely fine aragonite platelets that produce the colorful hues through the interference of light.
The first people to use Ammolite were the Blackfoot First Nation (Indigenous peoples of Canada). They had known Ammolite for centuries under the name Iniskim (“buffalo stone”). According to legend, Ammolites were worn as talismans while hunting. In 2004, the Ammolite became the official gemstone of the province of Alberta and was designated a “National Treasure.”
To protect its delicate surface, it has been sealed with acrylic.
