This striking ring featuring nephrite jade is crafted at our jewelry workshop in Indonesia. The centerpiece is an 18 x 18 mm cushion-cut nephrite cabochon. The cushion shape is square or angular with gently rounded corners, combining a modern geometric look with soft contours. The color and natural patterns of the green nephrite jade are particularly beautifully highlighted on the large stone surface.

The square Nephrite is securely held in place by prongs. The high-gloss polished and rhodiniert 925 silver accentuates the gemstone’s rich green hue with its cool luster. Silver weight: approx. 4 g Origin of nephrite rough stone: Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia Crafted in: Indonesia Nephrite jade from Aceh on Sumatra The rough stone used in this piece of jewelry comes from Aceh in the north of the Indonesian island of Sumatra. In this remote region, natural Nephrite boulders are found, among other places, in the vicinity of the Dare River. Individual raw blocks can weigh between one and two metric tons. Since many sites are barely accessible by vehicle, large blocks are sometimes broken up by hand right on site. Smaller pieces are carried through the rugged terrain and then transported further by motorcycle. Its unique origin in the pristine landscape of Aceh and the fact that it is mined by hand make this nephrite jade a gemstone with an extraordinary history.
