The unique amethyst heart is approx. 13 x 9 cm in size and weighs approx. 1.01 kg. The crystals are in a very beautiful purple color and are rarely available.
The dark gray matrix can be seen on the back of the amethyst heart, while the typical beautiful dark crystals of the mineral can be seen on the front.
The name amethyst is derived from the Greek word amethystos (counteracting intoxication) and refers to the traditional belief that an amethyst protects against the intoxicating effects of wine and other alcohol. Spellings such as Amathyst, Amethist, Ametist, Ametyhst, Ametyst, Amnethyst, Amthyst or Amythist are therefore incorrect.
