The Uvarovite step weighs approx. 220 grams and measures approx. 12 x 5.5 cm.
The discovery of the mineral Uvarovite happened by chance when the Swiss-Russian mineralogist and chemist Germain Henri Hess examined a stone from the mineralogical collection in St. Petersburg in 1832. The stone, known as "Dioptase of Bissersk", turned out to be a hitherto unknown, chromium-bearing garnet.
Modern gemstone healing appreciates Uvarovite as a stone that strengthens individuality and independence, arouses curiosity and optimism and conveys enthusiasm and energy for the realization of one's own ideas - a stone for explorers!
