Extra large and extra beautiful drilled Pietersite!
The drilled cabochon made of Pietersite has a length of 6.3cm and weighs approx. 51g; diameter of the hole approx. 2.9mm.
Pietersite, also known as storm stone, is valued in analytical stone healing according to Michael Gienger, as the gemstone helps to keep a cool head, process impressions more quickly and overcome conflicts.
Pietersite was first discovered in 1962 by mineral dealer Sidney "Sid" Pieters in Namibia (then South West Africa); the stone is named after him. The spelling Petersite, Pieterisite or Pietersiet is therefore incorrect.
