Colorful iridescent Ammolite from the St. Mary River, Lethbridge/Alberta (Canada) with 925 silver suspension, glued.

Size of the Ammolite 7.1 x 2.8 cm, weight of the stone 36.5 g.
The pendant measures 8 x 2.8 cm and has an eye diameter of 9 mm.

Ammolite is the trade name for the gemstone quality of a colorful, iridescent fossil shell of two ammonites: Placenticeras meeki and Placenticeras intercalare. The gemstone consists of the finest aragonite platelets, which produce the bright colors through interference of light.

To protect the sensitive surface of the Ammolite, it has been sealed with acrylic.
