Colorful iridescent Ammolite from the St. Mary River, Lethbridge/Alberta (Canada) with two 925 silver eyelets.
Size of the Ammolite 3,6 x 6,7cm, weight of the stone 208ct.
The pendant measures 4.3 x 6.7cm and has an eyelet diameter of 5mm.
Ammolite is the trade name for the gemstone quality of a colorful iridescent fossil shell of two ammonites: Placenticeras meeki and Placenticeras intercalare. The gemstone consists of the finest aragonite platelets, which produce the bright colors through interference of light.
To protect the sensitive surface of the Ammolite, it has been sealed with acrylic.
