Cubic Zirconia is a synthetic gemstone that is a cost-effective alternative to natural diamonds. The stone is considered to be the best imitation diamond in the world, which can hardly be distinguished from real diamonds with the naked eye, even by gemologists. Although the brilliance of Cubic Zirconia is not quite as high as that of Diamond, the stone has more "fire", i.e. the color spectrum of light reflections is greater than that of Diamond.
