The color spectrum ranges from soft yellow to colorful banding in yellow, purple and green to purple-yellow striped Fluorites.
The yellow as well as the multicolored Fluorite are considered in stone healing as classical stones for the promotion of learning, since the mineral promotes the understanding of information as well as mental agility due to the cubic crystal structure.
The name fluorite is derived from the Latin fluere (to flow) and refers to the mining term fluorspar for fluorite. Spellings such as floride, florite, flouride, fluorite or fluride are therefore not correct.
