Chrysocolla cuprite is used in gemstone healing to refine the sense of aesthetics and harmony, to intensify dreams and to revitalize the emotional world.
Chrysocolla with cuprite is also known as "Sonora Sunrise". The stone got its name from the place where it was found, the Milpillas copper mine in the Sonora Desert (northern Mexico). The different colors, ranging from dark brown-red to black to green-blue, result from the mineralogical composition of the individual stones.
