In stone healing Prase is valued for its balancing effect and is used to soothe heated tempers and facilitate conflict resolution. The name Prase is derived from the Greek word "prasos" for leek. Spellings such as phrasem, prassem or prassen are therefore incorrect. Prase Quartz (Buddstone) is also called Budstone, Emerald Quartz, Leek Quartz or African Jade.
