Shiva Lingams - Symbolized Energy
Shivalingam originate from central India and were originally recovered as naturally formed river pebbles from the Narmada River. Now, due to high demand, they are carefully hand carved from the original stone. The Shiva Lingam is a traditional phallic symbol, symbolizing male energy and is therefore, as the name suggests, often found in temples of the god Shiva. Further, the Shiva Lingam, like all other egg stones, represents the infinite and the totality of creation. Lingam stones can provide balance and harmony in the wearer and in the house through their gentle vibrations.
The word Shiva is derived from the Sanskrit term Siva (auspicious one) and refers to one of the most important deities of Hinduism. Spellings such as Shiwa or Siwa are therefore not correct.
