Chita is a variety of Serpentine. The olive-yellow color is due to chromium; the black inclusions are chromite.
In gemstone healing, Chita is used to support self-determination and protection against foreign, undesirable influences. In this way, one's own interests can be better represented.
The spelling of the name is inconsistent; both Chita and Chitta, Chyta and Chytha can be found in retail and wholesale trade; occasionally also Chitajade or Chittajade.
