Apatite bracelet with polished 9-10mm balls; threaded on elastic band. Length of the ball bracelet about 19cm.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" meaning "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite occurs in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be mistaken for another mineral. Spellings like apartith, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are not correct.
