Gorgeous gemstone lamp made from Marienglas!
Height of the gemstone lamp incl. wooden base approx. 20cm, dimensions of the selenite approx. 18 x 15 x 6cm.

The selenite crystal is polished at the bottom and therefore stands securely on the illuminated wooden strip.
Marian glass is a fascinating variant of the mineral Gypsum - more precisely, a particularly clear, fibrous or tabular form of it. It has a long history and often has a spiritual or religious significance. The name "Marian glass" comes from Christian tradition: it was used like a pane of glass to protect images of the Virgin Mary, which gave this selenite its name.
