The evenly pink spheres of Rhodonite have a diameter of 6mm and a polished surface. With a length of about 40cm can be knotted from the strand, for example, a necklace or two bracelets.
In stone healing, the balancing effect of Rhodonite is appreciated: the stone is applied to support the themes of understanding and forgiveness.
The first scientific description of Rhodonite was made in 1819 by the German naturalist Christoph Friedrich Jasche. The pink color inspired Jasche to name it "Rhodonite," which derives from the Greek word "rhodon" meaning rose or rose-scented. Occasional spellings like rhodonite, rodonite or rodonite are therefore not correct.
