Pendant pearl, Topaz (white), Spinel (black), 5,5cm

The central element of this elegant design pendant made of silver 925 is the white freshwater pearl, 10mm in size, surrounded by numerous faceted white Topazes and black Spinels.

The size of the pendant is 5.5 x 2.2cm in total, the eyelet has an inner diameter of 6mm.

There are two theories for the origin of the name Spinel: Either Spinel derives from the Greek "spin(n)os" (sparkle) or from the Latin "spinella" (small thorn). Since the 16th century, various spellings of the mineral have been used in Europe, such as spynell, spinella, and spinellus. Today the spelling Spinel is common, occasionally Spinnell can be found.
