Dark green serafinite and high-gloss silver - a wonderful contrast!
The drop-shaped cabochon of serafinite is approx. 15 x 10mm in size; stone weight approx. 6.6ct.
The ring shank and bezel setting are made from highly polished, rhodiniert 925 silver; silver weight approx. 2.91g.
Ring dimensions 22 x 20mm, ring size 17 (54).
It takes the skill of an experienced cutter to cut the serafinite (green clinochlore) with its fibrous, overgrown structure into the desired shape as a ring stone.
Serafinite got its name from the feather-like drawings and structures that are reminiscent of angel wings. The Hebrew term "seraphim" ("the burning ones") is used in Christian mysticism and refers to an angel high up in the hierarchy.
