This striking ring featuring nephrite jade is crafted at our jewelry workshop in Indonesia. The centerpiece is an 18 x 18 mm cushion-cut nephrite cabochon. The cushion shape is square or angular with gently rounded corners, combining a modern geometric look with soft contours. The color and natural pattern of the green nephrite jade are particularly beautifully highlighted on the large stone surface.

The square Nephrite is securely held in place by prongs. The highly polished and rhodinierten 925 sterling silver, with its cool luster, accentuates the rich green of the gemstone. In this remote region, natural Nephrite boulders are found in areas around the Dare River, among other places. Individual raw blocks can weigh between one and two metric tons. Since many of the sites are virtually inaccessible by vehicle, large blocks are sometimes broken up by hand right on site. Smaller pieces are carried across the rugged terrain and then transported further by motorcycle. Its unique origin in the pristine landscape of Aceh and the fact that it is mined by hand make this nephrite jade a gemstone with an extraordinary history.
