Earstuds, Nephrite, round, 1.4 cm, gold-plated

These elegant earstuds featuring nephrite jade and white topaz are crafted at our jewelry workshop in Indonesia. Each earstud features a round nephrite cabochon with a diameter of 10 mm at its center. The rich green of the nephrite jade creates an attractive contrast to the warm luster of the gold-plated 925 silver. A round, faceted white topaz, 3 mm in diameter, adds a sparkling accent above the nephrite. The combination of green nephrite jade, white topaz, and gold-plated silver makes these earstuds versatile gemstone jewelry—ideal for the product lines of jewelers, goldsmiths, jewelry stores, and gemstone retailers.

In this remote region, natural nephrite boulders are found in areas such as those surrounding the Dare River. Individual raw blocks can weigh between one and two metric tons. Since many sites are barely accessible by vehicle, large blocks are sometimes broken up by hand right on site. Smaller pieces are carried through the rugged terrain and then transported further by motorcycle. Its unique origin in the pristine landscape of Aceh and the fact that it is mined by hand make this nephrite jade a gemstone with an extraordinary history.
